Fani Kayode Ex-Wife Sues To Court For Professed Cybercrime

The Former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode estrangled wife Precious Chikwendu on Thursday sued to court over cybercrime allegation.

Precious Chikwendu who was arraigned to court by the police before Justice Obiora Egwuatu at the Federal High Court, Abuja was however, pleaded not guilty to the charges alleged against her.

Following her not guilty plea, the prosecuting counsel, Mr Victor, prayed the court for a date to commence trial and also prayed the court to remand Chikwendu the ex minister wife in the Kuje Correctional Centre in the state.

He asked the defendant should be remanded pending the hearing and determination of the matter.

However, counsel for Chikwendu precious ,Alex Ejesieme, SAN, drag the request and depict it as funny.

“I am surprised that counsel is making this funny application,” SAN Alex said.

The senior lawyer told the court that he had filed a request form for bail and that the prosecution against the individual had been served accordingly.

He said further that the prosecution only served him the counter affidavit on Wednesday and he has give answer with a further affidavit and a reply on points of law. He professed that the late service of the counter affidavit by the prosecution was a ploy to have his client remanded in prison.

Ejesieme opposed that the prayer level against Chikwendu, the ex minister of aviation estranged wife to be remanded in prison was gratuitous for her since she had never breached the administrative term bail accord her by the police.
