Chief Olisa Metuh, a former PDP national publicity secretary, celebrated the 62nd birthday of the imprisoned former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, with family members on Sunday
Ekweremadu was given a nine-year and eight-month jail sentence by a UK court in May 2023, while his wife Beatrice received a four-year and six-month sentence for conspiring to harvest a man’s kidney.
Metuh, Ekweremadu’s daughters, and other family members commemorated the event despite Ekweremadu’s absence.
He disclosed this in a post on X.com on Sunday.
Metuh wrote, “Today, I joined the Ekweremadu daughters and some family members to celebrate the 62nd birthday of my friend and brother for life. Indeed, I am so proud of the girls, especially Sonia, who has shown remarkable strength and resilience in these trying and most difficult times.
“We cut a birthday cake in his honour and enjoyed a sumptuous lunch in celebration. May the Almighty God give him peace and good health as we pray for a grand re-union in Jesus name.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]
