There was a flurry of jubilation on Thursday night at Nwezenyi, in the Abakiliki Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, following the rescue and reunion of two kidnapped children who went missing on January 22, 2024, with their parents.
Ngozi Nwibo, a seven-year-old victim, was freed from captivity at Oba, Idemili L.G.A. in Anambra State and a female abductor was apprehended and taken to the Ebonyi State Police Command Headquarters in Abakiliki.
Following her confessional statement, she was taken to Lagos State where the second victim, three-year-old Chinaza Nwachukwu was also rescued, while the woman who bought her escaped arrest.
Chinaza Nwachukwu’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Simon Nwachukwu, whose happiness had no limits, spoke at his home when friends, family, and well-wishers had gathered to celebrate with them. They offered appreciation to God for saving their stolen daughter.
Although Mr. Simon Nwachukwu acknowledged that they had to spend a significant sum of money on the police investigation and daughter’s rehabilitation, he insisted that nothing could be worth his child’s life.
The Landlord, Mr Francis Nwankwuda, who gave accommodation to the lady kidnapper, who pretended to be a member of NYSC, expressed joy that the kidnapped children had been rescued. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
