Akindele further explained the central character, Jedidah Judah, a woman with five sons, each from a different father and tribe.

“This alone is enough to raise eyebrows and judgments. But this story will resonate with everyone, regardless of their background. I wanted to portray our diverse realities and struggles, the African way.”

On her casting choices, she emphasized her commitment to realism and objectivity. “Sentimentality doesn’t play a role in my decisions,” she stated. “Talent is essential to work with me, and I admire disciplined actors. This movie was blessed with an exceptional cast like Nse Ikpe Etim, Timini Egbuson, Uzor Arukwe, and many more. I sought actors who could deliver what I envisioned, and I found the best.”
