The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC revealed that its office in Abia State has been invaded by thugs and hoodlums.
The Commission made this incident public in a Twitter post on their verified handle.
According to the electoral commission, the thugs attacked Obingwa local government area office in Abia state.
The commission noted that security agencies have been contacted to curb the tension and invading thugs.
The commission tweeted, “Thugs have invaded our Obingwa Local Government Area office in Abia State. Security agencies have been alerted. The Commission is monitoring the situation and will issue a statement shortly”.
