Former Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in connection with an ongoing investigation into possible money laundering of N8,069,176,864.00.
The accused ex-Minister of Aviation made an appearance at the EFCC’s Federal Capital Territory Command around 1:00 pm on Tuesday.
EFCC inspectors are now investigating Sirika about purportedly fraudulent contracts he approved for a business named Engirios Nigeria Limited, which is controlled by his younger sibling, Abubakar Sirika, after he arrived at the EFCC FCT headquarters.
According to the agency, Abubakar was the only signatory to the business’s two accounts, which were held by Zenith and Union banks, in addition to being named as its MD and CEO. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
