EFCC Arraigned Five Dealers Over Rule Violation

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has arraign Five car dealers in Sokoto state for going against the SCUML rule and regulations.

The Dealers were arraigned before the Court on Thursday 17th of March, 2022 Justice James Kolawole Omotosho of the Federal High Court, Sokoto State who presides the cases adjourned the case till on the 30th of March, 2022.

The adjournment was followed by the plea of the accused dealers.

The Five accused all pleaded for favour against the accusations levied against them.

The allegation laid against the accused was in contravention of the provisions of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2011 (as amended) in 2012.

According to Justice Kolawole Omotosho the accused should be remanded them in the custody of the Correctional Service till March 30, 2022 for further deliberation on the case.
