Men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Makurdi Zonal Directorate, has nabbed fifteen individuals for suspected internet fraud.
The anti-graft agency in a statement via their X page, on Tuesday, 26th of November 2024, revealed that the suspects who were apprehended at Abu King Shuluwe Street, Akpehe axis of Makurdi would be charged to court following the conclusion of an ongoing investigation surrounding their activities.
The Statement reads:
“Operatives of the Makurdi Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested fifteen suspected internet fraudsters.
“The suspects were arrested at Abu King Shuluwe Street Akpehe, Makurdi metropolis based on actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet fraud.
“Items recovered from them include two cars, five laptop computers, and 17 mobile phones among others.
