Education Minister, Tunji Alausa, has praised the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Comptroller General, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, on the launch of the Customs Cared initiative, a program aimed at driving inclusive growth and sustainable impact across Nigerian communities.
Alausa, who attended the launch, highlighted the NCS’ commitment to healthcare, education, social investments, food security, environmental sustainability, and the creative economy, as key areas that will benefit from the initiative.
Tunji also welcomed the strong emphasis on education, noting plans to rehabilitate schools, provide learning materials, and offering scholarships to ensure access to quality education for all.
He made these remarks in a statement via his official X handle on Friday, 21st of March 2025.
The statement reads:
“I was honored to attend the launch of the Nigeria Customs Service’s (NCS) Customs Cared initiative, which aims to foster inclusive growth and sustain impact across Nigerian communities.
“Through this initiative, the NCS reinforces its role as a champion of national and human capital development by addressing critical areas such as healthcare, education, social investments, food security, environmental sustainability, and the creative economy.
“The Federal Ministry of Education particularly welcomes the NCS’ strong emphasis on education, which includes plans to rehabilitate schools to provide conducive learning environments, supply learning materials, and offer scholarships to ensure access to education for all.
