The Chelsea Football Club has mourned one of its former star players, Christain Atsu, who passed away due to the earthquake rubble that struck Turkey.
The body of the former Ghanaian international footballer was found after a devastating earthquake in turkey.
The 31-year-old was caught up in a 7.8magnitude quake that struck Turkey and Syria on the 6th of February, taking home more than 43, 000 in both countries.
Mourning Atsu, Chelsea expressed grief via its Facebook handle on Saturday after the remains of his body was found.
Condoling with the family of Christian Atsu, the champions-league-winning club said, “Everyone at Chelsea Football Club is devastated to learn of the tragic passing of our former player, Christian Atsu. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends”.
