A pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Francis Aduh Ojo, has tragically died in a car accident while trying to escape from bandits along the Makurdi road.
The incident occurred on Thursday, February 12, 2026, shortly after he concluded a crusade in the area.
His nephew, Abuja Richard Enemona, confirmed the news in a Facebook post on Friday. According to him, the pastor encountered armed bandits carrying out an operation along his route and attempted to speed away to safety. In the process, his vehicle crashed, and he died on the spot.
“My uncle was coming from Makurdi yesterday after a crusade when he ran into bandits. He tried to escape but had an accident and died immediately,” Enemona wrote.
He further described the deceased as a dedicated and faithful pastor of Dunamis Church, whose sudden passing has plunged the family and congregation into deep mourning.
“Rest well, uncle Pastor Abraham Francis Aduh Ojo,” he concluded.
