The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has once again warned travellers against carrying bags or items they did not pack themselves or whose contents they cannot confirm.
This warning was issued by the agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, in a post shared on his X page on Sunday.
Babafemi cited a recent case involving a suspect arrested at an airport while attempting to smuggle illicit drugs. During questioning, the individual confessed that the luggage in question was not his.
Babafemi wrote on X :
“Please listen to the suspect in this video, he was asked if he packed the bag he was carrying he said no, someone gave it to him. “
