The impeached Speaker of the Lagos state House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, stormed the Assembly complex in company of a team of heavily armed security operatives today 27th of February 2025.
This comes hours after the security details of his successor, Meranda Mojisola, were withdrawn.
Obasa, who was removed from office last month, stormed the Assembly complex with more than 11 police officers and proceeded directly to the Speaker’s office, ignoring his colleagues who were seen gathered in the Assembly’s garden deliberating on the ongoing crisis.
The abrupt withdrawal of security aides of Meranda has left both the Speaker and the legislative building vulnerable, raising concerns over the stability of the Assembly. [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>
