Dino Melaye, the Former senator of Kogi West Senatorial district, won the People’s Democratic Party, PDP Governorship primary for 14th of November, 2023 Governorship election in Kogi State.
Since his emergence as the PDPs Governorship candidate, the former lawmaker has always been consistent in attending churches.
Melaye polled 313 votes out of the 738 delegates to defeat eight other aspirants under the umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
His closest rival, Kingsley Idoko polled 124 votes.
The outspoken PDP’s spokesperson will face candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC Ahmed Usman-Ododo in the governorship election scheduled to take place on November 11, 2023.
