The town of Kiagbodo in Delta State, the ancestral home of the late Pa Edwin Clark, became a focal point of national mourning as dignitaries from across the country gathered for the funeral rites of the revered elder statesman.
According to reports from Channels Television, the event saw the attendance of prominent figures, including Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, and former President Goodluck Jonathan, who was accompanied by his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan.
Also present were serving and former governors, traditional rulers, political leaders, and influential community figures, all gathering to honour the late nationalist who dedicated his life to advocating for the Niger Delta region and the unity of Nigeria.
