Bright Edafe, the Delta Police Public Relations Officer, has cautioned Nigerians against jungle justice, stating that the Police will not accept a wounded suspect who suffers from jungle justice.
According to Edafe, if anybody brings in a suspect who is wounded as a result of jungle justice, such a person would be accompanied to the hospital where he/she would have to treat the suspect before the suspect is being admitted.
He stressed that if the suspect eventually dies due to the beating, those involved in the jungle justice will be charged to court for murder.
Revealing this on his X page on Wednesday, 10th of July, 2024, he wrote:
“So I was at trend FM today to discuss a different type of jungle justice.
“Many callers who called refused to yield to my advise and insist that they will beat up a suspected thief black and blue before taking them to the Police Station.
“Let me make it clear, we won’t accept a wounded suspect who suffered from jungle justice in your compound from you.
“We will accompany you to the hospital where you will have to treat the suspect before we admit the suspect.
“And if the suspects dies due to the beating, you and your other accomplices will be charged to court for murder. No sentiment in law, know this and know peace.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>
