Court Strikes Out Treasonable Felony Charge Against Sowore

The treasonable felony accusations against Olawale Bakare and Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidates for the African Action Congress in 2023, were thrown out by a Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday.

This is coming after the treasonous lawsuit against Sowore, the publisher of Sahara Reporters, was dropped by the Federal Government last week.

The notice read, “By virtue of the power conferred on me under Section 174 (1) (c} of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended, Section 107 (1) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015 and all other powers enabling me in that behalf, I Lateef Olasunkanmi Fagbemi, SAN intend to discontinue charge No: FHC/ABJ/CR/235/2019″.

Justice Nwite ruled on Monday, stating that since the case was fresh before him, the court had to dismiss the charge. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
