The court ruled that the prosecution proved beyond reasonable doubt that Ajayi killed and dismembered Adaidu in January 2025 after allegedly discovering her infidelity. Ajayi, who initially pleaded not guilty, later confessed to the crime during police interrogation, showing no remorse and claiming he acted in a fit of rage .
The case drew nationwide attention due to its gruesome nature and Ajayi’s status as a gospel singer. Adaidu, who was serving at Nicon Insurance in Abuja, was murdered at Ajayi’s residence in New Karshi, Nasarawa State, where her dismembered remains were later discovered.
Despite Ajayi’s defense claiming unconsciousness during the crime, the court dismissed his arguments, emphasizing the overwhelming evidence, including his confession and the victim’s severed body parts found in his possession. [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>>
