The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Olufemi Oluyede, has commended the Special Force (SF) Brigade troop over their effective safeguarding of the Kaduna -Abuja road and rail corridor during his operational visit to Brigade Headquarters in Kaduna.
He emphasised the need for sustained defensive measures against terrorists, insurgence and other criminal measures within their jurisdiction, while assuring proper and prompt intervention to the current issues.
Oluyede also reaffirmed dedication to improving the welfare and accommodation of the forces personnels.
This was made known via a statement by the Director, Army Public Relations, Onyema Nwachukwu.
The statement partly reads:
“The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has applauded the remarkable efforts of the 402 Special Forces (SF) Brigade in safeguarding the Kaduna-Abuja road and rail corridor. The commendation came during his operational visit to the Brigade Headquarters in Kaduna on Monday, January 20, 2025.
“Arriving to a ceremonious Quarter Guard reception, Lieutenant General Oluyede received a comprehensive briefing on the Brigade’s operational activities and challenges. Addressing the officers and soldiers, he emphasized the need for sustained offensives against terrorists, insurgents, and other criminal elements operating within their jurisdiction.
“Acknowledging the challenges faced by the troops, the COAS assured them of prompt intervention to address these issues.
