Chiefs of Ooni of Ife Endorse Governor Adeleke for Second Term, Praise Development in Ile-Ife

A delegation of chiefs from the Ooni of Ife’s palace visited Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, strongly endorsing his leadership and formally backing his bid for a second term in office. The chiefs, led by Oba Adediwura Idowu, the Obalufe of Ife, commended the governor for what they called unprecedented developmental strides in the ancient city of Ile-Ife.

Speaking at the Government House in Osogbo, the chiefs stated that Ile-Ife had never received such focused attention and infrastructure projects from any previous state administration. They praised Governor Adeleke’s people-centered leadership and visible achievements across Osun, declaring that the people of Ile-Ife are proud of his performance over the past three years.

The delegation specifically highlighted ongoing road construction and a historic bridge project in the city. They appealed to the governor to expedite the bridge’s completion and ensure the connecting road to the Ooni’s Palace is dualized and tarred to ease traffic and boost the local economy.

The chiefs also expressed appreciation for the governor’s cordial and respectful relationship with the Ooni of Ife, which they said has strengthened peace and unity in Yorubaland. They concluded the visit with prayers for the governor’s continued success, reaffirming the unwavering support of the people of Ile-Ife for his administration.
