Tragic news emerged today as the lifeless body of Justice Chinule Azunda, the Chief Protocol to the former Chief of Staff of Rivers State Government House, was discovered.
The grim discovery was made by Emohua Local Government Chairman, Dr. Chidi Lloyd, who led a joint team comprising the Nigerian Police and Emohua Local Government Vigilante Services (EMOVIS) to exhume the remains of Mr. Azundah Justice.
The abduction of Justice Azundah had shocked the community, but thanks to the confession of a member of the kidnap gang who was apprehended by the Nigeria Police Force, the whereabouts of the victim were revealed.
The mortal remains of Justice Azundah were found buried in a shallow grave along the riverbank between Elibrada-Emohua in Emohua LGA and Ogbodo-Isiokpo in Ikwerre LGA, Rivers State.
Late Justice Azundah, prior to his unfortunate abduction, served as the Protocol Officer to the immediate past Chief of Staff, Rivers State Government House, Chief Engr Chukwuemeka Woke. His untimely demise has sent shockwaves through the community and beyond.
Authorities have taken custody of the corpse, and it has been deposited in the mortuary. The investigation into this heinous crime is ongoing, and law enforcement agencies are working tirelessly to bring all those responsible to justice.
