Chairman Of APC In Ekiti, Paul Omotoso, Kidnapped

In a shocking incident that unfolded on Saturday evening, Paul Omotoso, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, was kidnapped while driving along the Agbado Ekiti-Imesi Ekiti road.

According to Segun Dipe, the APC state publicity secretary, the unfortunate incident occurred when Omotoso was driving in his Venza car.

Unidentified gunmen ambushed him and fired at one of the car’s tires, forcing him to come to a halt. They swiftly seized the opportunity, forcibly taking Omotoso into a Toyota Hilux van before speeding away from the scene.

Initial reports indicate that Omotoso was alone in the car when the incident transpired. The APC swiftly relayed the distressing news to the relevant security agencies, including the police and the local security outfit, Amotekun.

These agencies have promptly initiated a coordinated effort to secure the safe release of the abducted chairman.

The motive behind the kidnapping remains unclear at this stage, as authorities begin their investigation into the matter.
