The Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has been summoned by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) to be interrogated on his company’s implication in a N438 million contract scam within Ministry Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
Among the organizations that have been put under scrutiny is New Planet Projects allegedly associated with the ministee. But according to an exclusive document, CCB had already scheduled an interview with the Minister for Tuesday January 16, 2024 at its national headquarters.
A letter Signed by CCB Director Gwimi SP on behalf of Chairman Murtala Aliyu stated that the investigation had been made possible through his constitutional powers enumerated under Item 3(e) in Part 1 Third Schedule.
The letter reads:
“The bureau is investigating a case of alleged breach of the Code of Conduct for Public Officers in which your name featured prominently. Consequently, you are invited for an interview scheduled as follows:
“Date: Tuesday, 16th January, 2024. Time: 1100hrs prompt. Venue: CCB Headquarters on 5th Floor, Annex III, Phase I, Federal Secretariat Complex, Abuja.”
