BUSTED! Man caught for allegedly using charms to defraud POS operators in Bayelsa

• A man identified as Miyin Miller was caught in Emeyal community in Bayelsa State for allegedly attempting to defraud a POS operator using charms.
• The suspect gave the POS operator white papers cut to sizes of Naira notes to deposit as money but was caught.
• He confessed to using the same method to defraud a POS operator of N150,000 in a neighboring community before being caught in Emeyal.

Residents of Emeyal community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State apprehended a man named Miyin Miller on May 2, 2023, for attempting to defraud a Point of Sale (POS) operator using charms.

According to reports, the suspect handed the POS operator white papers cut to the sizes of Naira notes to deposit as money, but the juju did not work, and he was caught.

Upon being caught, the suspect confessed to having used the same method to defraud a POS operator of N150,000 in Imiringi, a neighboring community, before heading to Emeyal.

The suspect was beaten by youths of the community before being handed over to the Community Development Committee (CDC) of Emeyal II for further investigation and interrogation.
