The Federal Government’s recruitment portal for paramilitary agencies, including the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS), has reportedly crashed due to overwhelming traffic.
The portal, which opened on July 14, 2025, was inundated with applications from thousands of eligible Nigerians seeking employment in these agencies.
This surge in activity highlights the high demand for these positions, particularly among youths aged 18–35, as the government aims to fill roles across superintendent, inspectorate, and assistant cadres.
Authorities have assured applicants that efforts are underway to restore the portal promptly, urging candidates to remain patient and avoid fraudulent third-party sites.
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) reiterated that the application process is free and warned against scams.
