Boko Haram has circulated a video showing more than 100 residents abducted from a community in Kwara State, dismissing official accounts of the security situation as propaganda.
In the footage, which was shared online by the militant group, the abductors accused the Nigerian government of misleading the public about the true state of security in the region. The development has sparked renewed fears over the safety of civilians in areas vulnerable to insurgent attacks.
