Bishop Feyi Daniels Wraps Up Defense in Alleged Rape Trial

Oluwafeyiropo Daniel, the founder of the I Reign Christian Ministry, has concluded his defense in the trial where he’s facing charges of alleged rape. This case is being heard at the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court.

Daniel, who had previously pleaded not guilty to the charges of raping two women, an assistant pastor, and another church member, finished presenting his defense.

During his testimony, he claimed that the alleged victims had conspired against him and denied giving one of them N100,000 for medical treatment.

The state counsel, Babajide Boye, questioned Daniel about his role as a pastor and whether he used his position to manipulate people.

In response, Daniel stated that he wasn’t a manipulator and that he provided counseling based on training, wisdom, and guidance from his faith.

Daniel also denied altering WhatsApp messages between him and one of the alleged survivors.

Following this, the defense counsel, Olukunle Oyewole, informed the court that the defendant had completed presenting his case.

Justice Rahman Oshodi allowed certain statements from the defense as evidence, marking them as Exhibits E1 to E7.
