Joint Border Patrol of Nigeria and Cameroon have deployed hundreds of troops to the maritime border ahead of separatists threats to shutdown business activities on 30th of May.
In Atabong East this morning, military helicopters were seen dropping Cameroonian troops, the Rapid d’intervention Battalions, BIR, have also restricted movement to and fro around the BIR headquarters in Abana, Freshreporters media had gathered from reports.
This comes after the Biafra Nations League, BnL, two days ago ban businesses, both local and international trade at sea in the Bakassi Peninsula.
The Peninsula have witnessed series of attacks from separatists fighters loyal to the BnL.
