Benue Man Breaks Free from Kidnappers’ Clutches On His Birthday

Prince Matthew Chile, a middle-aged Benue man, was liberated from captivity after about a week. He was believed to be kidnapped by armed Fulani herdsmen.

On Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at around 6 o’clock in the evening, Prince Chile, a resident of Sengev in the Gwer-West LGA, was abducted while traveling along the Makurdi-Naka route with three other people.

The other three were likewise set free.

The news of Prince Chile’s release was announced by his birthday mates, who also happens to be from the same Gwer-West LGA axis. Hon. Victor Torsar Ormin, a former House of Representatives candidate running on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform for the Gwer/Gwer-West Federal Constituency in the 2019 general elections. He stated that Sunday was the ideal day to release Prince Chile.

“Prince Matthew Chile, your safe return on the day of our birth has put an icing on the cake for our celebration. Happy birthday and welcome back bro”, Victor posted on his Facebook wall at about 8 pm, on Sunday, 5th May, 2024.
