Reacting to current coach of Barcelona, Xavi Hernandez’s announcement of his intention to resign before the end of his remaining contract year,
The club’s President Joan Laporta said “Xavi told me it was best to leave, and he was giving up the remaining year of his contract.” Laporta added, ‘I explained to Xavi that I had only agreed to this arrangement—staying until June 30—because it was him.”
