The Students of ATBU, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, and BASUG, Bauchi State University, Gadau have started mobilizing their female colleagues on campus in motive to storm the street with a half-naked body protest against the ongoing strike by the, ASUU union Academic Staff Union of Universities.
ASUU have been on strike since 14th of February, 2022 to press forth its neglected demands by the federal government. The strike of about three months now have been rolled over by the ASUU union earlier this week to another three month over federal government unable to meet their demands.
However, Some students of the ATBU and BASUG campuses who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity, urged the Federal Government to resolve the striking crises on campuses with the ASUU Union in order to them to return to their classrooms to continue their learning.
According to a student: “So far we’ve contacted more than 500 female students and they have agreed to participate in the protest and we’re expecting more before the final day.”
The students further fumes on the part Federal Government and ASUU for bashing down their obligations to the public varsities of setting in place a befitting learning environment for the students to learn well.
They added “As law-abiding students, we’ve been patient enough, our career future is in danger because of some unpatriotic citizens who only care and are concerned by their children and families,”
