Army Troops k!ll Several ISWAP, Discover IED Making Factory

Troops of the Nigerian Army succeeded in blowing up another ISWAP bomb, producing plant in Abulam – BUK, in Damboa LGA of Borno State.

Gradually but unpredictably, the resilient Special Forces soldiers, working with HYBRID and the Civilian Joint Task Force operating under the shared aspiration of the Operation Desert Sanity III, a branch of Operation HADIN Kai, advanced steadily through various theater corridors toward the designated enclaves.

A series of encounters aimed at eliminating the terrorists from their stronghold in the Timbuktu Triangle, which includes Buk, Talala, and Gorgi in the dreaded Sambisa Forest, marked the week-long clearance operation carried out by the troops of Sector 2, Special Forces Brigade of the Nigerian Army, CJTF in coordination with the Nigerian Air Force.

Terrorists positioned improvised explosive devices (IEDs) along the forces’ approach path, providing fierce opposition to the troops as they advanced.

However, the terrorists were forced to flee their strongholds as the soldiers applied further gunfire, killing a number of them.

The soldiers found an ISWAP bomb manufacturing facility in BUK that produced various IED components, metals, and ions.

The terrorists swiftly fled and avoided making contact with the oncoming army as the troops continued their assault on Abu Aisha’s camp near Dusula.

Many terrorist-occupied strongholds have been freed and taken over by the troops as a result of the clearance operation, forcing ISWAP commanders like Hanzala Kaid, Abu Ibrahim, Baa Idrissa, Rawana, Mallam Abubakar, and Abu Aisha to evacuate in the direction of Abba Gajiri and Bulabulin.
