Again, Army Launches Heavy Str!kes Against Terr0rist Base in Taraba

Once again, soldiers break down terrorists’ bases in Taraba neighborhoods

Soldiers of 6 Brigade/Sector 3 Operation WHIRL STROKE, said they have successfully broken down terrorist hideouts in communities spread across Taraba State.

Besides breaking down the hideouts, some of which are situated in Rugga, Sarti, and Yade communities, reasonable quantities of arms and ammunition were also reported to have been recovered.

Making the announcement in a statement signed and provided to journalists in Jalingo, the state capital on Sunday, the Director Army Public Relations, Major General Oyenmma Nwachuku, said the army is determined to eradicate terrorist strongholds in remote areas of the State

Additionally, they announced that a knife and two mobile phones belonging to the terrorists were also seized.

Reaffirming their determination to rid the nooks and crannies of the state of terrorists, soldiers, according to the release, were in pursuit of the terrorists to dismantle all criminal hideouts and ensure the area remains uninhabitable for unlawful activities…[CONTINUE READING HERE]>>

“During an aggressive patrol conducted by the troops of 93 Battalion Sub-Sector 3B OPWS, contact was made with terrorists who fled their base in the face of the troops’ overwhelming firepower.

“A thorough search of the terrorists’ hideout resulted in the seizure of 1 AK-47 rifle, a magazine containing 7 rounds of 7.6mm X39mm ball ammunition and 1 cartridge.”
