The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has issued a stark warning to the public, revealing a worrying trend where Drug Trafficking Organizations (DTOs) are increasingly employing common, seemingly innocuous items to conceal illicit substances.
This development comes as the NDLEA intensifies its operations, tightening the net around drug syndicates across Nigeria.
According to a statement by the NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, on Sunday, July 6, recent seizures by NDLEA officers have brought to light the desperate measures taken by traffickers, who are now using virtually “everything in sight, no matter how tiny,” to hide drugs.
