Men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Uyo Zonal Command on Thursday, 30th of May, 2024 nabbed 40 suspected internet fraudsters in early morning sting operations at two different locations in the state.
The commission made this known in a statement released via its Facebook page on 30th of May, 2024.
According to the commission, Twenty-one of the all-male suspects were arrested in Eket, while the remaining 19 were picked up in Ikot Ekpene.
Items recovered from the suspects upon arrest include: one Toyota SUV XLE, nine laptop computers, 64 smart phones, one internet router and a smart watch.
