India has been hit by another aviation dis@ster as a helicopter carrying Hindu pilgrims cr@shed in Uttarakhand, k+lling all seven people on board.
The aircraft, operated by Aryan Aviation, took off from the holy site of Kedarnath and was heading to Guptkashi when it went down in a densely forested area around 5:30 a.m. local time. Officials believe the cr@sh site is several miles off the designated pilgrimage route.
Preliminary investigations suggest that poor weather conditions may have caused the cr@sh. Rescue and recovery teams are currently at the scene, while aviation authorities have launched a review of flight safety protocols in Uttarakhand’s difficult mountainous terrain.
This incident comes just days after India was rocked by a much de@dlier tragedy ,the Air India crash in Ahmedabad, which left at least 270 people de@d.
In that earlier disaster, a London-bound Boeing 787 Dreamliner cr@shed into a residential building near a medical college hostel shortly after takeoff. Only one of the 242 passengers on board survived. An additional 29 people d+ed on the ground.
