Angry Youths Protest Against Police As Bandits K!ll 3, Injur£ 3 In Tsafe

There was a gunfight between the forces of Operation Hadarin Daji and bandits who had stormed Tsafe Town, resulting in at least three civilian deaths and three injuries.

It was learned that the bandit assaulted the town, using the residents as a shield, and trapped the victims in a crossfire.

It was gathered from sources that some of the bandits disguised themselves as ladies while others wore different clothes before launching their attacks from various locations.

According to intelligence sources, the bandits had commandeered a vehicle that was carrying traders from Tsafe town via Gusau to Tsafe Road. Other people arrived on motorbikes via Yan Kuzo Road. Other others attacked the town via Funtua-Tsafe Road.

According to a local, the bandits were passing by the Police Divisional Office in Tsafe while firing intermittently with highly advanced weaponry. They were in large numbers.

Two traders who entered the Tsafe market were gunned killed by the bandits, while a woman was fatally shot by a stray bullet. Three further individuals were shot and sent to a hospital in Gusau.

The attack was repulsed by the combined forces of the Army, Zamfara State Community Protection Guard, and Civilian Joint Task Force.

Meanwhile, Angry youths blocked were dispersed by security personnel after they protested against the police Divisional Officer in Tsafe.

The sources, who wished to remain anonymous, claimed that the locals were upset that the police did nothing to stop the bandits from attacking a resident in the vicinity.
