A suspected arm robber was allegedly killed by a mob in the Misau Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Bauchi State Command spokesman, DSC Fatima Adamu, reports that four more members of the robbery gang were apprehended on Thursday, February 22.
Adamu states that the NSCDC received a distress call about robbery activity at the old burial site area in Misau on February 21, 2024, at around 00:50 hours.
When the Corps arrived at the scene, they learned that one of the robbery suspects had been apprehended by the local mob.
“The suspect confessed they are six in number. He was beaten by the mob to a pulp and was taken to the General Hospital Misau where he was later certified dead by the medical doctor,”
Four members of the gang have been arrested by operatives of the Corps namely: Jamilu Ibrahim (m) 22 years, resident of Railway quarters, Bauchi, Nuhu Ya,u (m) 19 years, resident of Unguwan Karofi Bauchi, Abubakar Abdulmumin (m) 22 years, resident of Railway quarters, close to ECWA 2 church, Bauchi and Alhassan Hussaini (m) 20 years, resident of Unguwan Kandahar, Bauchi.”
The gang’s other members are still at large, the statement continued.
The exhibits retrieved from the suspects include charms, smart phones, daggers, knives, and ammo created locally. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
