All southeast Governors supporting Tinubu’s 2027 re-election — Dave Umahi

Engr. David Umahi, minister of works and former governor of Ebonyi, says all governors in the south-east are united in their support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

Umahi spoke in a video shared on Sunday via the Instagram page @peopleofebonyi_.

He said governors from the region are fully aligned with the president’s vision and leadership.

He said:

“All the governors of southeast are supporting President Bola Tinubu’s second tenure. I saw a mouth that was running his mouth, the man was saying a man has a region intact is intact, and he was talking of my brother, Peter Obi.

“When the presidency comes to the south-east, I should be at the forefront because of my performance. I created something out of this state. God used me to do it.”

Umahi challenged critics to a public debate, insisting his record as governor and minister sets him apart from other leaders in the zone.

He urged the south-east to avoid sentimental politics and focus on building strategic alliances across the country.

“We can’t get to the presidency by sentiment. We have to re-engage; we have to support other regions. And at the time of God, nobody will stop it,” he said.
