In a major political shift, all the members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) representing Delta State in the House of Representatives have officially defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The announcement was made by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas during Tuesday’s plenary session, significantly affecting the PDP’s presence in the lower chamber.
The defections follow a wave of high-profile exits from the party, including those of former PDP vice-presidential candidate Ifeanyi Okowa and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
