Dutch Eredivisie giant, Ajax Football Club, has shown their support and empathy towards ex-Nigerian professional footballer Tijani Babangida who was involved in a ghastly car accident claiming the lives of his son and brother.
The football club launched a crowdfunding initiative which was shown on the screen during match against Almere City FC after the Super Eagles winger was invited as a guest of honour for the Eredivisie clash, with former manager Louis van Gaal in attendance.
A video highlighting the crowdfunding campaign for Babangida, “Support Baba,” was displayed on the stadium’s big screens.
