Adekuoroye Wins Nigeria’s Sixth Gold At Commonwealth Game

Odunayo Adekuoroye, the Nigerian wrestling dynamite, has won the Nigeria’s sixth gold at the ongoing commonwealth Gamss of 2022.

She claimed her sixth gold in Birmingham today (Friday).

The gold was conferred to her after she won the Women’s 57kg Freestyle Wrestling.

It was the game between her Anshu Malik, from India.

Adekuroye claimed the 2018 Commonwealth championship after she defeated her opponent with a 6-4 points and she won the final successfully in God Coast, in the last four years.

En route to the final stage, the star African female champion knocked off Canada’s Hannah Taylor in the semi final swashbuckling victory which ending with 10-0.

However, today victory landed the reigning medalist add to the current Nigeria’s gold medals to six, with a-two silver and five bronze medals from her.
