Hearing about the passing of Herbert Wigwe, a brilliant banking expert, along with his beloved wife Chizoba and their eldest son Chizi has left me feeling shocked and heartbroken.
Two weeks ago, Herbie and his wife entertained Aliko and me to dinner at their recently constructed residence in Lagos. The time I spent with him throughout the years holds a cherished place in my heart and memories will always bring back fondness.
“Herbie, your absence will be deeply felt. However, your remarkable accomplishments shall endure eternally.”
During this sorrowful time, my sincerest sympathy is extended to Tochi, Hannah and David as they cope with the loss of their loved one. May God provide them comfort and solace in their grieving process.
“He said, may the souls of those who have passed away rest in perfect peace.”
On Sunday, President Bola Tinubu issued a statement expressing his shock and distress over the tragic passing of Wigwe and other individuals in the helicopter accident.
“Many aides described the house as one of a kind in the area of Ikoyi known as Queen’s Drive”
