Abuja Court Convicts 10 Persons For Internet Fraud

The Federal High Court in Maitama, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, FCT has convicted 10 person on one count bordering on internet fraud.

This was conveyed in a statement issued out by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Saturday, 16th of September, 2023.

The convicts were arrested at different locations in Makurdi for alleged involvement in cybercrime.

According to the statement, the defendants who were prosecuted are Ikyegh Senenge Bobo, Anum Cyprian Sesugh, Boniface Udoo Aondofa, Utor Stanley Torkuma, Obande Emmanuel, James Ekere, Tony Ochekwu Moda, Ochaje James, Shadrach Ugbu Aondona and Odumu Michael.

The investigation stated that they assumed different identities to lure unsuspecting persons into phoney social relationships to defraud them.
