Abroad-based Nigerian Man Dies 2 Days After Visiting His Village, Bitten By Strange Ant

A Nigerian man, who had only been to his hometown two days before to see his sick father, had died from an ant bite. 
 
It was gathered that Desmond, who returned home after staying overseas for 14 years, had come home to support his father during a difficult period, but he met his death shortly after being bitten by an ant. 
 
Reports state that Desmond arrived excited to reunite with his family and boyhood home, in excellent health and spirits. 
 
Tragic events nonetheless occurred when he complained one evening of an ant bite on his stomach. He had tragically died before morning from the consequences of the bite, shocking and disbelieving his loved ones. 

Sharing the heartbreaking news, a X user, Chiamaka Umeugoji (@ProserfinaTwitterHandle) wrote;

“14 years of your life living in the white man’s land. Making it big, you were your family’s pillar, ” she wrote. “You decided to visit your homeland to see your sick father. Two days in your father’s house Desmond, you kicked the bucket.”
