In a heart-wrenching incident, a newborn baby was discovered abandoned near an uncompleted building in the Unguwar Mu’azu community of Kaduna State.
The incident took place on Saturday and was brought to light by a compassionate individual who promptly handed over the baby to an official of the Kaduna State Vigilantes Service at ward 8A.
The baby, wrapped only in a piece of clothing and wearing nothing but a diaper, was found in a vulnerable state. The unnamed official, entrusted with the infant’s care, stated, “The abandoned newborn was discovered at Unguwan Muazu’s new extension, close to an uncompleted building.”
Despite the dire circumstances, the newborn appears to be in good health, which has brought a glimmer of hope. The official assured that immediate assistance is being provided, and the Kabala West Police Division has been informed of the situation.
