Dr. Joe Abah, the Former head of the Bureau for Public Sector Reform, has landed a huge knock on the electricity workers for switching off power supply over the country for protest sake.
Abah who shared this in a tweet added that he cannot imagine this in other country where some group of people will decide to switch off power supply of their country.
In a series of tweet today (Thursday), the country director of Development Alternatives Incorporated stated “I honestly cannot think of any other country where people can go and switch off the power supply because they don’t want to be interviewed before promotion, and they will not be immediately arrested and jailed. ‘
He went further to ask, “Is tampering with ’NEPA’ equipment no longer criminal under our laws?”
Abah noted this after a video of electricity workers switching off power at a station in Abuja, Federal Capital went viral online.
Yesterday (Wednesday), the electricity workers one-day strike plunged the nation into a total blackout as some citizens were forced to use other alternative means to give lights in their respective homes.
