“I don’t want any of my kids to do boxîng, I took the blôws so that my children won’t have to take them” – Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson, veteran has said he will never allow his children to go into boxing game because he took the blows so that won’t take them.

The award winning fighter reflected on how his 16-year-son told him he wish to chase boxing as his career. According to him, he immediately rebuked his son that such game take a lot of sacrifices and it isn’t met for middle class children , rather those who want to earn a living.

He said,

“I don’t want any of my children to do boxîng, I took the blôws so that my children won’t have to take them.”

“My oldest son who was 16 at the time told me that he wanted to become a professional bõxer. “

“I immediately said but stop there, you’re stupîd, you went to a private school! You can’t be a bõxer, you’ve taken trips to Europe, you’ve been around the world. “

“You can’t be a fîghter with that, you’re a middle class kid and you’ve got almost everything you want. You want to fight guys like me? Anîmals? No! I don’t want my kids to go through that, it’s degradîng. Boxîng, you do it when you have nothing. “

“It’s a lot of sacrîfices, paîn, and sufferîng. I took the blows so that my children wouldn’t have to take them. When I look at my children, I see middle class kids who went to school and are aloud to do what they want. Boxing means wanting to be the best, to dominate everyone. “
