Security and military men are reportedly still securing the mini-palace in the Nasarawa area of Kano State, where the deposed 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, is occupying, despite a court order for his eviction.
Stern-looking armed soldiers and policemen were seen around the mini-palace.
It could be recall that a Kano State High Court presided over by Justice Amina Aliyu directed the police to evict the deposed Emir from the palace, and reinstate Sanusi II.
The court, which gave the order on Monday, also issued an interim injunction restraining Bayero and four other dethroned emirs from parading themselves as emirs, pending the hearing and determination of a motion on notice filed by applicants.
Aminu Abdussalam, the state Deputy Governor, also disclosed that Bayero’s presence in Kano posed a threat to the peace and stability cherished by its people of the community. [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>>
