Mr. Umar Garba 50-year-old man, from the Gombe State has been arrested by the Gombe State Police command for defiling a 12-year-old girl.
Ishola Babaita the Gombe state Commissioner of Police, who testified on this 17th of march, 2022 stated that the young girl known as Mohammed, was hawking a local pap when the 50 years old Garba called her presence before raping her.
The Gombe Police commander disclosed that the suspected rapist would be arraigned to court, after making confession of the crime allegation.
The Police commander further urged parents and guardians not to desist from their warden role because there are adults who are willing destroy the lives of children.
According to Babaita Ishola “The suspect lured her into his room and closed the door.
“He forcefully had carnal knowledge of the girl child. He will be charged to court.
“Children are armless targets of rapists, no neighbour is saint enough to be entrusted with your children, so as not to fall prey to roving predators.” he said
